hi all since the collapse of goldtrail we have been desperately trying to get flights for my son who was booked with goldtrail in a party of forty people going on my brothers honeymoon we found flights from birmingham 6th september with mo**** so we tried to contact all passengers and by the time we had the price had increased by £90 per person my wife and i are travelling on the same date with je* and we have noticed that the same holidays that were being offered for around £400 per person for two weeks bed and breakfast are now nearer £600 i understand that companies will make a little bit extra but find these increases really over the top especially when most people are really struggling to find the money all over again till they get there money back from the caa

It annoys me, as I would respect these companies more and be far more likely to use them and recommend them, if they had sympathy and left there prices alone or even lowered them by a couple of pound.

Ah but it doesn't work like that at all (ok some companies may)
When a group book a flight the next set of seats automatically go up in price so they get the optimum price for the aircraft.
Just a case of not getting in quick enough and 40 seats is a hell of a lot to try and book.
If you drop me an email I can check around for you and see what I can do

We had been holding off booking but checked Tommy's prices on Saturday and Sunday after Goldtrail went down and there was little change. For some reason, I checked again on Monday and they had jumped by £50.00 per person. After being caught out by Excel and Scottravel I should have known better, certainly older but no wiser and certainly too trusting.
Booked now with good flight times, accommodation that I want to try and taxi transfers for under a grand. If I had booked early, I would have been at least £250.00 better off.
Anyway, who gives a s--t, at least we are on our way. The weetoonies are comin' down the road

I think it stinks too, a few weeks ago I was watching flights on a daily basis, and as it got closer to the departure date, the prices were coming down. I even emailed TC about this, as I booked last year with them for the holiday we have just come back from 2 weeks ago.
Now as I am checking, the same flights as I have made for June and Oct for next year, TC from Cardiff, the flights are coming up at £1229.56 for two adults, for 2 weeks leaving Cardiff on 11th June 2011 (flight only!). I paid £520 this year for the same dates - absolutely atrocious of T Crook. I will definitely be avoiding them at all costs if possible in the future.
The same flights for the above dates for next year, I have already booked with Aegean at a cost of £340 between the both of us, and thats with 20kg of luggage. Crooks price above is BEFORE luggage has been added.
Scanadlous, they should be totally ashamed of themselves, I just see them as such robbers.

Bill, maybe you should go to your profile and select to show your email address, you may get a bit of interest shown then, as the PM facility has been disabled.
