Worried about Nightlife!

Hello

Newbie on here! Went to Marmaris last year as a first time visit to Turkey and found it a bit too loud and resorty for us. This year we are thinking about Icmeler as we visited for the day when we stayed last year.

Slightly worried about the bar cut off point at midnight though in Icmeler. We don't like nightclubs and noisy bars but as we eat quite late on holiday we like to sit in bars til about 1-2am with a little bit of music etc. Not really bothered about shows or entertainment but would like to be able to stay out longer than 12!

Do the bars shut down and everyone go home at midnight or are there still bars which we can sit in!?

Any advice would be greatly received. We are looking to go in September but haven't booked yet because we are worried about being in bed early! Ha ha!

Most bars stay open if they have customers, no problems getting a late drink, it's just the music that shuts off.

they will serve drinks at most places as long as you wish never been thrown out of anywhere go & see za za he's one not to miss great laugh what a character

you will love it i went to marmaris twice before icmeler would never go back to marmaris this will be my 14 time to icmeler in aug i love it

Plenty of bars have background music on quite low but you can hear it and you can drink and relax we are in the same frame of mind as you, this is our 7th time coming up and we adore the place, also if you fancied a mad night out marmaris is only a stones throw

We have just got back. The bars do stop the music at 12 but we stayed drinking and chatting until 2/3am in morning. We went into Marmaris for one night and couldn't wait to get back to Icmeler!! Marmaris is fine if you want loud, young music but Icemeler has just about the perfect mix/blend. You will love it!!

This is my 3rd trip to Icmeler and have visited Marmaris a couple of times. I thought Marmaris was like Blackpool and is more suited for younger people.

Icmeler, on the other hand is a lot quieter and you can find exactly what you want in most areas of the town. I am sure you wil love it.

I used to stay in the Havana bar until about 1.30 am. They sometimes shut the music off altogether and other times just turned it down. The slightly bigger (and noisier) bars like the Three bells just up the road, did turn their music off altogether. You still see the drunk people stumbling down the street to the hotels at 4-5 in the morning lol
