money, ATMs, etc

Hi
We are going to Icmeler on Friday - First time.
I am taking £500 worth or Lira.
Am planning to take my NAtionwide debit card to take out more.

But worried that the ATMs wont work or I wont find any etc.

Can anyone let me know if I am right to rely on ATMs and also where I will find some.

We are staying at the back of the resort in the Club Aquarium.

Which direction should I head to find ATMs etc.

have looked on the map but can work out where anything is.

can see 2 canals coming in from the sea but cant get my bearings.

when you walk down from your apts keep going till you hit the main road,turn to the right keep on the main drag till you see a large biege marble building in a dip this is the bank,turn left 50 yards on left are the atm`s
look on the around icmeler map it`s at the end of the first main road you would hit if you were walking from the beach

there are plenty of cash points and we have always find them reliable

Does anyone know which ATMs give out sterling apart from HSBC in the square?

And welcome to the forum, unless you already have your Lira, I would suggest £100 Lira to tied you over, £400
Stirling travellers cheques and your Nationwide card. You will get a better rate in Icmeler. Change your cheques in the supermarkets, NOT exchange offices, (rip off), you wont get charged for using your card and can withdraw Lira or Stirling at most Atms,(they are easy to use) and are in the resort centre or at the banks.
Take a look at http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?ie=UTF8& ... 8e86a260a2 Club Aquarium, atms and banks are marked on this map(scroll down on the left), Club Aquarium is approx 20mins from the centre or beach. They are up a slight incline, that can seem steep in the heat. Lovely aparts from memory with good views over Icmeler.
