Yes Salhi is still working there,this bar renamed "Lost Boys"

What a great guy Salhi is,I remember the times we used to go in the Iguana apartments,come down to the pool at 7-30am and Salhi would make me a cup of coffee.
He would look after his guests like no one else ever did and I know he has a lot of friends here in England who wish him all the best.

Oh for those old times.

I have to agree with Gene. My family became very fond of Salih after first meeting him in July 2004 whilst staying at the Iguana. Have been back to see him many times since then and he is always so pleased to see us. A very helpful and kind young man.

i agree we first met salhi 2 years ago......what a nice guy......he never wanted anything from you, just your company, i have had several letters from him, and we have sent several back to him, carnt wait to go and have a drink with him at the end of july.

I tried to post something about Antiks bar but several attempts haven't resulted in a posting.

Had some enjoyable, relaxing and fun (all together??) nights there a few weeks ago.

Just wanting to know if Salhi is still out in Icmeler? Me and my girlfriend where in Icmeler last year (June 2006) and we are going back this year (June 2007). We met Salhi when we went in the Lost Boys Bar. Salhi came over and asked if he could sit with us and he had a chat and a laugh. For the week we where there, the Lost Boys Bar became our regular and Salhi made it very enjoyable. I DJ back here in England and when Salhi found this out when let me DJ at the Lost Boys Bar for 1 night. It was a great experience. I am hoping and praying that he will be there in June, so if any of you can tell me if he is going to be there it would be greatly appreciated

Is he the one who spends time in Leicester? I know that Jack (door host)and Joseph (Jack's cousin) are planning to be in Icmeler but may end up in Marmaris. My daughter's in touch with Jack so I'll ask her. from memory I'm sure the mobile number on the antik website is Salhi's no - he's got a UK one too. If you don't know the website search for it, I can't remember it - sorry.

Hiya

I stayed here in spetember last year and had a fab time. We stayed in the apartments and had alot of fun. Sahli is a really nice guy who always talked ot us, he even taught me how to pronounce my turkish properly!!! One thing that is confusing me is that i dont know anyone called Jack from there when i was there! The only door man that was there when i was there was antonio also known as ahmet. If anyone has a picture or can describe him for me it would be a good help. Im really curious to know who he is now.

Wonderbabe - I've got some photos, I'll look them out for you. We were in Icmeler last June. Jack may have moved up to Marmarsi, think he did the last few months there. You may have met Ozgur who was working there from July. You can't miss Jack, good looking, well dressed, always in shades - oops that's almost everyone isn't it??? Catch you when I've found the photos - that will decide whether Sahil is the person I'm thinking of too.

Salih has got to be one of the most genuine people I have ever met in my travels.

I first met him while he was working for Hakan at the Old Famous Kitchen and my kids have grown up knowing him.

I have and always will have a lot of time for him

Yes, a really nice guy. Always polite and he has a very good knowledge of history, politics and culture. hey, what can I say, I'm a boring lecturer!!!

Yes we are more that will be paying Salhi a visit this year... We have met up with him now for the last 2 years.. this will be 3rd He is a lovely guy and was made up to see us all last year.. we can't possible go back home without paying him a surprise visit... just hope he is still there....

Yes Salih is a really great guy. We have been to Icmeler the last 4 years and always meet up with him.

We had a lovely Christmas card from him. We have three girls who over the years have grown up knowing Salih.

Gail when are you going out there. This is Jane we met up at the Antik the year before last. I think Gene was there also.

We are going back in August staying in the old village this time.
