We as a family have booked self catering for the first time (as we would normaly do all inc) my wife asked me a question that i would like to pass on for an answer as i have no clue.

Is it possible to buy lurpack butter in icmeler as i dont want her to try to pack some in case of a burst (butter and clothes dont mix very well).

Thanks.

I always take lurpak butter and cathedral city cheese, just put it in a carrier bag and wrap a towel around it and it will be fine.

you pack exactly what I do Mary and in the same way too - Brits abroad or what?!?! I couldn't live without my lurpak and cathedral city for a day haha
still struggle to do without the Heinz beans we used to take back in the good old days when the luggage allowance was 22.5kg - we used to take allsorts in a big sports holdall and the xray chap at Manc had a right laugh at us, mind you he always guessed right on what we were taking, even down to my non stick frying pan and tin opener

Ok my OH is currently laughing at you  I told him i was taking my own butter cheese and bacon and he split his sides laughing at me and saying why?? dont they eat food out there, i told him its not the same and i was told in no uncertain terms to:

"not be dense women its the same food all over the world for christs sake"...
I smartly replied
"mmhmm well ill take it you eat theirs and we'll see who will be laughing sweetheart"

little cruel but meh

buy a small plastic click-lock container, perfect size for butter and makes a good butter dish.
