Yes its all along the sea front. It took us about an hour and a half, but we stopped for a drink. Make sure you do it early though before it is too hot. Its a beautiful walk.

We did it this year too - it is a nice walk, but it was getting pretty hot by the time we got to Marmaris, so we took the easy option and got the water taxi back. A nice breeze to cool us off after our exertions - perfect!

We also did that. Had a walk along the beach, stopped off for a drink then we had breakfast in Marmaris. The water taxi back was glorious.

Hi
Try a drink at Cafe del mar, then set off. Look for the lizards near the Ice rink 8) , takes as said before 1 and a half hours stroll, then taxi boat back. Did it last year and will do again this.

I've clocked the distance for the walk. (sad I know). From the Munamar hotel to the marina in Marmaris is 7 1/2 kilometres. Took my dad on the walk this year he's nearly 80 and made it all the way without too much complaining. Took us 3 hours at a very nice pace with a few drink stops.

You might also think about freezing a bottle of water each to take with you. It melts nice and slowly along the walk so you get cold drinks all the way.
It's a lovely walk. ENJOY.

As has been said. We set off about 10.lots of water for the walk, got some grapes, had a beer & lunch at a beach bar on the outskirts of Marmaris, walk on a bit further then got a taxi boat back, great few hours, that beer tasted good though.

My wife and I did the Icmeler/Marmaris walk every other day last month. Stopping off in various bars along the way for a cool efes and maybe a breakfast and saying Hi to the guys that we've met over the years. We usually end up at the Tansas picking up one or two things for the apartment (as well as a Caramel Magnum) before setting off back, stopping along the way for even more cool efes'. By the time we get back our tan is looking great and we've worked up a healthy appetite and are looking forward to our evening meal. Back out in August and looking forward to continuing the walk (and the Efes).

We're thinking of doing the walk this year, although only one way! Never been into Marmaris before despite going to Icmeler 3 times before! Once we've walked along the beach into Marmaris, where do we find the water taxi to get back?

Hi jayelay
The water taxi stops at most of the jettys along the beach, so even if you only walk a little way you can continue by water taxi to the Marina,Castle and Bazaar.

We walked many times all the way starting from Marmaris Bazaar to Icmeler (went by Dolmus from Icmeler). Usually it took around 2 hours as we just wanted to enjoy the scenery and my daughter is constantly stopping to take pictures :D
I just love to take that walk later in the evening, especially when it's already getting dark, air feels like a soft blanket, there's music, moonlight over the sea - this is the feeling I keep in my mind for the cold winter days back here in Finland.
