hello everyone, just back from 2 fantastic weeks with the family at Avlu 1,was just wondering about the depth of the pools ,as a non swimmer that likes a dip to keep cool but not really comfortable in deeper water i was wondering whether it may be an idea for members to just make a comment in their holiday reviews regarding the depth of the pools,i know im being an old wimp but it really wouldnt take a lot of time and may prove useful for future bookings certainly for me anyway

most pools in Icmeler have a deep and shallow end - the deep end does tend to be quite deep. From memory the Avlu 1 is the same and I'm positive they have a kids bit to the pool as well, pool area is quite small. Don't worry you'll manage to get your nice cooling dip! :D

The pool at the Dilhan Hotel is one of those which is the same depth all the way round at 1.70 m,this means that if you are 5ft.7ins. or less standing on the bottom is a no no

I used to get fed up with the deep pools too, it's just not so nice having to hold on to the steps/side of the pool all the time, luckily I found a hotel I like with a pool I like (I can stand in the shallow end, I'm 5'3") so I've stayed in the same place for the last few years.

Reviews rarely mention pool depth, so I agree it would be good if more did. I've have wondered if pool depths would have to be regulated if Turkey were to join the EU - bet it would cost a fortune putting shallow ends in all the deep pools.

good idea to add to reviews - my OH cant swim mainly because he is a dead weight in water instant sinking.. so wont go in any further then up to his waist...

you never see pool depth on reviews

It's also very difficult to swim if, having finally received your passport, you have it firmly between your teeth for fear of the OH hiding it from you (again)!
