Hi Jakejaz3 we were at the Alinda last June we had a great time. Good size rooms and cleaned every day . Food was not all that great if you are AI but there are plenty places to eat but we could not fault the Alinda Hotel its self and the staff the were very nice. We did not use the pool or the bar because you are a stone throw away from the beach. Also a great wee bar next door the Havanna you will always get a BIG welcome from Zaza, who is mad by the way. I saw a lot of bad reviews before we went but it was not as bad we thought.

hi just come home if you booked a standard room they are good ,promotion rooms are not,.most of the food is ok a little repetative by the end of the 14 days, but for what we paid it was ok about 8 out of 10.wine and lager very good in the resturant, drinks around the pool 4 out of 10 limited and plastic. no more all inclusive for me ,inclined to over eat. but you can have a cheap holiday,my third week we booked self -catering ,suits us better . BILL PS handy for jimmys bar give him a try .

Thanks for that, we are all inclusive and its the first time i am goign away with my 2 children on my ow. My son and myself are vegetarians so as long as there is veggie stuff as in salad and chips we are ok.

My kids love the pool, i hear that there isnt enough seats and it goes sday at 2pm, can we use other pools?? they will be distraught if it's "too the beach" everyday!!

If we do need to eat out whats the general prices? im going on a low budget so dont want to be caught short.

Oh and the person who said "no AI again" i went to Egypt in 2008, the Holiday Village and it was the best holiday ever, so although this may not have been good i can recommend a Holiday Village x but you do get what you pay for

Nikki the difference in Egypt and Icmeler is that Egypt is barren, dusty and besides some fish restaurants, an indian and chinese and the likes of burger king and other fast food places in Naama Bay then there is nothing outside your hotels really.

Icmeler has too many restaurants with really nice food and lots of bars so people don't look at it as "you have to go all inclusive as you do in Egypt"

The sun is off the Alinda pool usually 12ish and there are only about 15 sunbeds for the whole hotel.

The seating area outside at the small bar has not got many seats either but you will see that it seems to be only a hardcore group of drinkers who actually stay in those seats day and nights for their whole holiday.

There is a small pool around the back newly dug and gets the sunf for a while.

Lots of cheap food around the bars at the moment and you have one of the best bars next to the hotel near the pool

Thanks for that, it was a cheap holiday so im trying not to think of it as all inclusive, i dont really drink and so staying at the hotel isnt an issue for me.

How expensive is it at the moment as i will be sensible taking enough money to class this as room only just in case?

Thanks again x

Check out my holiday review from last year. I would not put a foot through the door of that place if you paid me, boiled cucumber indeed!

Thanks, not looking too promising then, oh well i will view the cheap cost as just for the hotel and eat out if necessary.

Anything on top of that is a bonus, did you have to pay to change your hotel or did your holiday company do it?

I absolutely loved this hotel and it kind of annoys me that people use so much energy insulting this place instead of seeing all of the benefits. The staff were hilarious and incredibly kind, they will do anything you ask with a smile and a cheeky wink. The pool area is good, not brilliant but worth a bit of morning sunbathing or sheltering from the hottest time of the day. The best part, I am ashamed to admit lol, is the Havana Bar. If you've looked through some of the posts on this forum you would no doubt have heard about Zaza and his awesome bar. I, personally, spent the majority of my time there while my mother and step-dad went off for siestas or those walks parents like to go on :P. The food is really cheap, the Beer cold out of the fridge and the boys who work there are some of the nicest people I met. Always taking the mickey lol!!
All in all, it is a great hotel. You can't ask for more for the money you pay. I feel confident and comfortable enough to go there alone next year!!! Enjoy!!! :D
