Can anyone help me? I'm totally confused as to how many ciggies and spirits we are allowed to take in to Turkey with us. Can you buy both in UK and at Dalaman airport on arrival? Have read a few different versions so looking for clarification. Cheers. (Only 10 sleeps to go!)

My understanding is 600 ciggies (though they say you should buy 200 in the UK and then buy 400 at Dalaman) and 5 bottles of spirits....

Buy your ciggies at Dalaman when you arrive, they'll be cheaper and have all the usual brands.

Dalaman airport website says 600 cigarettes and 2 litres of spirits each.

is that the same for bringing out.. because i know Turky is different from other places because its not in the EU so you cant bring nearly near the same amount as you can from say spain??

I think you can bring back 400 ciggies from dalaman sayea not sure about the spirits though

'fraid the cigarette allowance from Turkey back to Uk is only 200 - there's info on most airport sites about allowances

Yep,to bring back into the UK its 200 cigs and 1 litre of spirits per person.

yeah i forgot to say 400 ciggies for me as the OH dont smoke
