Good morning,
A friend of mine is dueto go back to Turkey within the 3 months. He paid for his visa when he last went out and is hopeing not to have to pay again. The thing is when he gets there he is still within his 90 days but when he is due to come home he will have past the 90 days. Does this mean he is covered to get back in the country wihout having to pay the £10 (still within the 90 days) or because it is coming to the end of his visa will he have to pay his £10?
I hope i make sense
Karl

He will have to pay the £10 for a new visa, otherwise he will have overstayed the 90 days and could be facing a fine, or not being allowed back into Turkey for a substantial period.

A timely warning indeed, Gene - not a very pleasant experience for anyone to have to go through, especially for the sake of £10!

The robbing gits. I have passed the message on to my friend and also told him what could happen if he doesnt renew his visa. I can't say I'm a big lover of the people at
Dalaman airport. The 1st year we were coming back from Içmeler (2006) we got stunk with a £60 fine for being slighlty overweight with our baggage. Worst thing was we only had lira and they popped the exchange rate up to 3.20 where as that year in resort it was only 2.60

Thank you both for your advice

Afternoon, I am due back in
Icmeler 6th Sept and entered the 11th June. By my reckoning thats 88 days so my visa is still valid. Please can somebody just add some reassurance that this is the case. Thanks Mark C

Hi Markcav,
From what I can gather you will still have to renew your visa as it expires while you are still in Turkey. Like Blondie says you will then be overstaying the 90 days.

Your visa is in date to enter the country but will be out of date by the time you leave so a new visa is needed.
The time span (90 days) is from the date entering to the date leaving.

Thanks for that Gene. I thought we needed new ones but didnt fancy being allowed in and then having a problem when trying to leave as nice as it would be to stay. Maybe not the best situation to be staying in under investigation for visa fraud lol. Thanks again. Mark

Never ask the people at
dalaman half of them haven't got a clue what they are talking about. They would happily take another £10 from you even if your visa was well in date and they would also tell you that you don't need one when you actually do knowing full well what will happen when you try to leave.
Can't rely on anyone but yourself these days so make sure you have your dates right. Your 90 days starts on the day you arrive at dalaman not the day after. If in any doubt just buy a new one on arrival...better to waste £10 than pay a hefty fine and face a ban from the country!

When I go back end of August, it will be 91 days on my day of return
