Can someone help identify a restaurant?

Postby mikendeb » 27 Jun 2010 19:52

Hi all,
Last year we some lovely and inexpensive food in restaurant / cafe the name of which we cant remember.
I think they specialized in Turkish cuisine. We had anatolain kebabs and meat balls which were superb.
Its located on the sea front and has or had 4 giant white umberallas for shade. They looked like big tents with no walls. We are going back again in september this year and hope to go there again,
Thanks in advance to anyone who can help,
regards,
Michael

I think that the name of restaurant/cafe you are referring too may be the Erdem

I think that might be cafe b & s,we went there last summer and it was one of the cheapest and nicest meals we had all holiday.
If you go into photos and the june album there are photos on there of some of the beachside cafe /restaurants :D

Yes thats the one .Thank you - I remember now. Strange it never seems to get a mention in the reviews etc. It was the best food we had in Icmeler last year and was very cheap.
So heres a big thumbs up from me for the B & S Cafe. I guess many people are not adventerous they want the same food they eat at home. You gotta try this place . It owned and run by a Turkish family and you can eat here for a quarter of the price of the of the Majestic etc etc and the food is miles better imho,
regards,Michael.

It's one of several cafes all next to one another on the beachfront. if you're walking down the canal, turn right when you get to the beach and walk along the promenade and you'll see them all.

Will def have to find this place in August! Went to Dalyan at the beginning of the month and set myself the task of eating only Turkish food all holiday- and never having the same meat/seafood twice in a day or 2 days running

have to say it was absolutely fantastic and what a lovely change from ordering steaks etc

am going to do the same in Icmeler in August, can't wait
