Hi

we always take our bank cards we contact the bank a few days before tell them how long we are there for and the lift any blocks that might be in place doing this we have never had a problem using the cards

most of the apartments have safty deposit boxes and will charge you a small fee to use them

Please BEWARE Safety Deposit Boxes are not always safe as has been pointed out recently on this forum.
They are usually located in reception areas easily accessible by almost anyone passing by not always Hotel guests and you have no idea how many keys are in existence or who has one.
Best to take only a minimum amount of inexpensive jewellery leaving more valuable items at home, keeping debit/credit cards with you.
Your payment of approximately £30 a week for a Safety Deposit Box comes without any guarantee that your items will be protected and if the box is attacked you will receive compensation.

I've always used a safety deposit box and never had any problems and I take sterling travellers cheques.

If you have a nationwide card I would telephone the bank to tell them where you are going and when and use your card as you will get a better exchange rate I believe and you wil save yourselves a few quid by not hiring a safe which will pay for a night out whilst you are there lol

Happy hols

Does the Efes Inn hotel have safety deposit boxes? Are they in the room?

safety deposit boxes are all down in main foyer opposite reception, behind a screen in the efes. You have your own safe key which you keep on you all the time and you also get a master key from reception each time you need access to your safe, we used this last year and no problems whatsoever.

£30 per week? Have never had to pay that much. Earlier this month I paid £10 per week.
