Postby shellyb » 25 Jun 2010 14:23

hello all i would like to thank every one who has welcomed me on this forum.didnt want to start my posts with bad news.my mum and dad have asked me to put this on to warn other people staying at diva hotel. they got back this morning. they have been going to icmeler for 17 years. thats how i got the bug. the greeting i got from my mum was tears. they stayed at diva for 2 weeks. there is a new manager who is the most rudest man ever. mum got a safe in the reception area. within a week 300 pounds was stolen out of it. nobody was helpful in the hotel also the rep spoke to them [no joy]. the cameras was broken in tha lobby area [apparently] mum and dad met some people who had money taken out of there safes at blue rainbow hotel [same owner]. nothing got done there either. mum says she is never goin back to icmeler . ive told her not all the people are the same there is always a bad apple. hope she sees it differently when she calms down.im gutted for her. im going end of august but i wont be staying at them 2 hotels. hopefully wen i come back it will be a happy review. xxxx

Hello Shelly,
Most sorry to hear of the distressing news concerning the loss of money from the Safety Box hired by your Mam and Dad this is one of the main dreads you can have while on holiday being robbed.

The rigmarole involved of reporting it to the Hotel, Local Police ,Holiday and Insurance Companies certainly puts you into a mood of thinking thats it never again.

The positioning of the Safety Boxes usually accessible by anyone even non guests and there strength of security in hotels leaves a lot to ponder over especially when paying to use the facilities which do not give any guarantee.

Hope they have no problems in getting satisfaction from their insurance but then again they may still have to pay an excess so still end up out of pocket.

I hope you all filled out a complaint form while staying there and gave it to the tour operator whether ICR or another company. Hotel management should not be able to get away with this type of atitude to customers.
