By the sounds of it Buffalo bar and Mr Cook are having a price war with the Efes  ...
It's a pitty we are staying old village area :(

I could walk all the way from old village to either of theese two ( 10-15 mins) for a saving of 20pence or anything up to £1  per efes. ......... NO Thanks ....

The price of Efes is not top of my list when visiting Icmeler.

Agree with you Gary the saving of a couple of pennies on the price of a bottle of beer doesn't come into it there are more things to be considered including location and company........enjoy

Rant on

You may not be on a tight budget that many people are this year after the banks have ruined it for many by taking too much risk.

If people need pointers to low beer prices so be it, don't belittle them, it's not polite, this time next year after you have paid for your holiday you may be reduntant, have a massive pay cut etc and be looking for the cheaper locations.

Rant off

Dave

Edited to say the following:-

I am actually one of those people, my wife has had her hours cut by 25% and my wages are down 10% in real terms so the odd cheap pint or two will do me .

jambogarry remember this post that you put on and you just stated that you were not bothered about saving any money on beers WHAT A PLONKER!!!  Re: Cheap Beer for a tight Ar*e

If you are as tight as me then a few ( 6) beers in the fridge will keep the beer cost down.

Hair of the dog or a relaxing night on the balcony watching the world go by. You pick.

Overall most bars are cheap enough for both options. Enjoy .by jambogarry

Within a day or two in Icmeler you quickly acquire some idea as to what bars are charging for efes as most display this on boards.
During our last holiday in May we took advantage of the cheaper costing as on an afternoon we would frequent the Buffalo Bar, where Sugar is an ideal host and have the drink at 2 for the price of 1 or to say the 2.5 TL a pint.
On a nighttime this bar has Karaoke which we are not fans of so never went there but preferred to go for a couple of drinks at the Magic Garden where we enjoy the quieter surroundings, the efes was 4.5 TL.
We are pensioners have been for 8 years so also we are controlled by limited funds and have to budget accordingly which is all assessed in the planning of the holidays but we do not head for an establishment because it is cheaper to drink their beer as other reason and needs are also to be satisfied.

Hi dksbbs

Rant on

as someone who lost his job a few weeks past I am on a tighter budget than most, thankfully my wife picked up a few extra shifts at her work to get extra spending money for this year.
I was not trying to belittle anyone :? I was just saying I would not walk 10-15 mins to find a bar that would save me 20p-£1. Money is very tight for us and I dont even think we will get a holiday next year unless I win the lotto
Rant off.

Hi wolfman1
Mr PLONKER here, thanks for quoting me on that one.
My point is that I dont have to walk 10-15 mins to such places to save a few pennies on beer. I like a cheap bear as much as the next guy and can easily find cheap beer at most places.

What was your point in quoting me on it :?

Sad Sad Sad :(
I dont do name calling but if I did then **** *** *** *****.  You can quote me on that one .
Please feel free to quote me on any other things you wish.

flippin 'eck chaps, who'd have thought a thread on beer prices would be so contentious eh hahaha
your banter is hilarious and brightening the days on the countdown to August for me thanks

in Dalyan a couple of weeks ago, the going rate for a large bottle of Efes was 5L and a small 4L - nice to see Icmeler is cheaper so save some for me 8)

  Fanny

The funny thing is...... the price of a glass of wine for jacqui or the price of 3 glasses of juice for the kids would be more important than the price of a efes for dad :? :) .

What is to going rate for juice and wine this year ? .... any place doing good deals :D

No reply from dksbbs .... with all your knowlege I was waiting for you to tell us how to spend our money and belittle every person we seen.
The multi millionaires that we are, we dont have to save..... or do we ? only dksbbs can answer that one. the Icmeler expert that he is .
PS

I am actually one of the same people dksbbs, you are not the only person who has a hard time so dont try and say others have it easy.... and I dont try to belittle people on the forum.

I have always respected your views and comments on ICR , I think you have a wise head on your shoulders... yet your last comments have left me slightly confused and bewildered.... it's not like you dksbbs :?

Pack it in Garry

Dave made a valid point about people needing cheaper places on hols, I have booked All Inc this year so save mum and dad and me money, so does that mean you want to have a go at me too.

Some people go 3 or 4 times a year and spend as much as they want, some people go 3 or 4 times a year and scrimp and save to do so. Some of us only go once a year and still scrimp and save to do so, my parents are pensioners so a thread like this would be handy for them.

As for this,
Sad Sad Sad :(
I dont do name calling but if I did then **** *** *** *****.
it's pathetic so grow up.
