New Marina

Can anyone tell me what progress has been made on the marina which was being built last year just past the Golmar Beach Hotel? We were told last year that it was supposed to be finished for 2006 season.

I had an early morning stroll round there the week before last. It's not far off being finished, and it looks good.

Thanks for that, I'm so looking forward to seeing it. We stay at the Golmar Beach Hotel and have had the same room for the past 4 years which looks out over the wee harbour.

Isnt it just a long bendy shaped jetty going out to sea? There looks like plenty of potential for shops/restaurants etc on the side by the road though.

Thats whats wanted Karen to give the new marina some character.
At the moment its just a lengh of concrete for tieing boats to.
I cannot see anyone building out at that end of the beach though as its a long way from any action.

When I walked along to the end it had just been opened all the facilities,
water and electrics are all laid on for the anticipated influx of boats.
