Dolce Vita Restaurant by canal

Postby lesleyr » 19 Jun 2010 14:20

I would just like to acknowledge the best meal I had in Icmeler this year and that was the Sultan Special at the Dolce Vita on the canal, I know there are many, many good eating places but this meal was excellent and the dancing later in the evening was a treat too I just wish we could go more than once a year. Roll on next May :)

I've just returned this morning from 10 days holiday and I also ate at the Dolce Vita it is a really nice place it is on the corner opposite the Private Hotel and Dreamboys. It actually got closed down for three days just before we came home for hassling people  although I never saw them hassle anybody when I was there the Dreamboys was much worse

They were "hassling" when we were there but in a nice way so I wouldn't really call it hassling. It was called a different name last year and there was a waiter working there who looked like Al Fayed (or at least we thought so) who wore a wine tasting spoon thingy (!) round his neck when my husband had a photo taken with him last year we said do you know who you look like and he replied "no, he looks like me", happy days, at least we've got the weather here if not the atmosphere :)

The only one I can think of near Private Hotel and near Dreamboys is Villa Kontes; is that which one it is? Cheers

The Dolce Vita is opposite the Private Hotel on side of canal which is the far side beyond the Irish Bar.

If the waiter in Dolce Vita looked like Al Fayed, it definetly used to be Villa Kontes. Spent most of our holiday with the guys there last year! :D
