He's fine. Was back at work the following evening, with a bruised face and bruised ego. He got stabbed in the butt cheek but his wallet thankfully caught most of the brunt. Can't remember the lads name, but he's a canny lad who works the entrance. Has a lisp if that helps.
Not a nice incident, especially as it happened at 6pm in the evening in what I would class as the quieter area of Icmeler. However, it shows the underlying agro between the Turkish and the Kurds. He was told to leave the 2 kurds alone who had parked outside the Lighthouse, but he refused, resulting in a fight outside the Lighthouse. The Friends bar across the road is also Kurdish ran and these lads came to help their mates. Think it was about 6 or 7 onto one.
Put it this way, the lad was lucky he got stabbed in the backside as they could have quite easily killed him.
Not a pleasant incident, but one that sadly goes under the radar a few times. Heard of scuffles happening between the two nationalities a few times. You here of this back in Blighty, but sadly, seems tensions run everywhere.
