In flight entertainment

Postby jeffg » 08 Jun 2010 11:36

Hello everyone,
collected our tickets from T..... c... on Sunday and and it seems they have cancelled in flight entertainment due to public feedbackas if the public would say we dont want entertaining but its ok to charge the same extortionate prices,oh yes the kicker is that they can supply PSP consoles at a cost of £7.50 per flight,as you can imagine there is a very irate e mail winging its way to the customer service dept(thats a joke in itself) as we speak, still rant over for now anyway, see everyone in just under 2 weeks jeff

in flight entertainment doesn't bother me to be honest - i never use it, but yeah agree that something should be done with the prices to reflect this!

Hi same with me , dont really care about in flt entertainment, but i think its happened because most people do take their own music, dvd players etc so its no big surprise. The on board service thats offered will probably not be required by most people, but its there if you want it for a price of course :!:

I'm always far too excited to concentrate on anything on the flight out, just happy to watch the map  and usually sleep the whole of the flight home...

I've never agreed with having to pay for headphones etc on flights! After all, you pay enough for your tickets and that's before you add extra baggage, get stung for excess baggage, pay for a meal, pre-book seats etc, etc, etc.

The in-flight entertainment should be available on all flights, to anyone that wants it, at no extra charge!

I almost feel a campaign coming on!

I agree, the in-flight entertainment should be there anyway, as long as you want to buy the ear plugs.

Personally, I get a little nervous flying, so cant ever concentrate on watching anything apart from the map.

i can understand why the airline has taken off the in flight entertainment but i do agree that the price should be less as this is a service that is being taken away

I agree if a service is removed the price should drop, in the end they will be saving thousands by not showing the films as they will not need to pay the license for broadcasting them throughout the plane which I believe is very expensive.

Have I phone and Netbook will entertain thyself.

We're with Tommy C's. Its the wide bodied planes theyre doing IFE on. So if wide bodied goes to Turkey you get ife if your on narrow bodied like I am, there's nowt.

Imagine Thomsons etc will follow suit at some stage as well.

I got my tickets yesterday from TC and was also informed about there being no more in-flight entertainment! Not very happy! I quite enjoy sitting back & watching the films or tv episodes!!! So does my hubby! My step-daughter not so much, as she has her DS & iPod with her! Looks like I'm going to have to get some books raked out & new tunes on my iPod for what is going to be a long flight!!
