It's great to see the exchange rate improving,let's hope it keeps climbing, and that those who are out there at the moment can give us an exact resort figure when they return,and also the best place they got it from.We are there for the first two weeks in August so I'm hoping it would hit the 2.40 ish mark like it was last year.

Like you we averaged 2.40 last September.

Was in Icmeler a couple of weeks ago and best was 2.20

Back again in September so fingers crossed, but I think Im going to get a few in the UK if it reaches 2.35 over here before then.

I am just back from Icmeler and got 2.30lira for travellers cheques at the Hypermarket opposite the Love Boat restaurant, which by the way is a wonderful place to eat. I tried to cash the cheques at a bank and they wanted 20 lira per cheque and the exchange wanted 3% commission. It pays to shop around. We had a wonderful holiday and hope you do to.

The exchange rate you quote of 2.26 has changed only a little since mid May when we were getting 2.20 - 2.22
