Advice on Private transfers from Dalaman

I read that several people advise getting private transfers to Icmeler from Dalaman.

We are going to stay at the Green World apartments on 10th June and have been told that we are last off on arrival and first on going back and as the plane lands at 2200 (Thomsons) it is likely to be very late when we get to our place!

The private transfers recommended are they mini-vans or taxis?

Any advice on costs and which companies to contact would be very much appreciated.

This will be our first trip to Turkey and very much looking forward to it.

icmeler online do private transfers we done it last year and have booked again for this year cost £100

Greenworld will definately be the last drop off as they are at the very top end of icmeler and there really isn't anything beyond the apartments besides mountains. We usually stay up in the old village and with the comfort stop and drop offs in marmaris and all around icmeler, our longest transfer was 4 hours once it can be anything from 2-4 hours depending on the time of year i guess, high season will obvsiouly mean more drop offs!!!

Booked private transfer with ICR this time. Maybe someone knows more on this but I think it depends on how many people are on the transfer that decides whether you have a minibus or a car.??? Am I also right in saying that if someone else has a similar flight time and staying close to you they could also be on your transfer??? and you can also choose whether you would like a comfort stop or not

I would defo recommend Icmeler online. We did the transfer with a tour operator and it took us 3 hours to get to our apartments, since then i have used icmeler online and its usually only takes 1 and half hour or bit longer, cutting the transfer time by half. We have used them 4 times now and never have any problems.

having stayed at Greenworld now 5 times i will tell you that yes you will be last off and first on the transfer coach with the package deals
i would therefore recommend that you book a private transfer
i would thoroughly recommend icmeler online for the transfer they are really good and it will give you much more time in icmeler if you decide to go with a private transfer
around about £100 return for 4 people is usually the price

As you have been 5 times you obviously hate the place!!!

Hope it is as good as people say. We have asked for a quiet room and they said they will give us a forest view room.

Do you remember if the Green World fridges have ice compartments in them?

Some of the fridges we have had in other places don't and we normally bring ice trays for my G & T's!
No point bringing them if they don't!

yeah they have ice compartments in them cause my dad always uses them to make his ice for his G&T's
if you have asked for a quiet room they will give you one looking into the mountains which isnt facing the pool
these ones are good as they get the sun in the evening so when your getting ready you can sit on your balcony and have a drink before you go out
they are lovely apartments and you have made a very good choice
anything else you would like to know just ask

The hotel did say that we would get a mountain view.

I tried contacting Thomsons several times but they never answered my emails so got on to the hotel themselves!

hope anybody on the Thompson flight at 2035pm from Man next Thursday and have booked a private trans lets the reps no, as i have posted before last year we waited for 8 people for well over an hour who didnt turn up, the journey is long enough, a big thanks if you do,

I'd go for the ICR transfer - did the tour operator transfer on our first visit to Icmeler (only because we didn't know any better and hadn't discovered this place yet!) - never again! Thought we were never going to get to our hotel and as for the so-called "comfort stop", least said the better! ICR for us now every time - worth every penny to get to Icmeler in a fraction of the time!

yeah we were the same blondie
we did the coach transfer on our first trip to icmeler
never again after a night flight all you want to do is get to your apartment or hotel
our bus broke down in the middle of no where and we had to wait over an hour in the pitch black until they sent another bus from dalaman
then we had to all change buses with our luggage and finally got to our apartments at 7am in the morning after landing at about 1am

We have now booked a private transfer with ICR so hopefully will get our night caps that much earlier even if it did cost £100!!!

each to is own on transfares ,we had a good one straight to Icemeler no stops, it was the over 1hr waiting for people who didn't turn up for the coach all im saying let the rep no at the airport you will not be using the transfare coach, a lot on the site book all with I C R so no problems all im saying if with the big company's let them no, not to much to ask.
