Travellers Cheques

Postby NIK26 » 21 May 2010 15:16

I usually take travellers cheques when I go on holiday so ive been shopping around this week for the best deal.
I wanted to change £500 into sterling travellers cheques and was going to be charged anywhere from £7.50 to £15.00 commission.
I have since ordered my cheques from Lloyds TSB and have had to pay no commission because I ordered via telephone if you order in the branch there is a charge.
Just a little tip for all us icmelerites every little helps so they say!!!

We also get the commission free from Lloyds, my dad works there so he sorts them out for me.

I think the post office charge 1.5%

When you order online do you have to pay online or can you pay when you pick them up?

You pay online as it goes through internet banking. So it's taken from your account

Thanks Danni

Think I might get my sister to order from her bank as mine don't do travel money, I'll investigate on the net later :)
