last year we brought home some Turkish Lia, not a lot though, jst a 50YTL note and a 10 YTL note. I assume that the currency has not changed and that I will be able ti use these in 5 days we I arrive

I am sure the Yeni notes were replaced beginning of last year although you could still use them until the 31st December.

If I am correct and your notes have the word Yeni on them you should still be able to change them at a bank.

Thanks for the quick reply. I seem to remeber reading about this somewhere but could not find out any info. It seems that there are 2 banks that can exchange these

Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey, or Türkiye Ziraat Bankasi.

Does anyone know if these banks are in Icmeler

im sure the Turkiye Ziraat Bankasi is in icmeler but i might be mistaken
if i remember correctly the the blue bank that is in centre of icmeler down the stairs beside the idas hotel

I will have a look when I am there and post back. I am sure there will be others with some of the older notes

Anyone else know if these banks are in Icmeler, ADMIN??
