Coins with "Yeni" on them

Postby Mags23 » 15 May 2010 15:27

Does anyone know if the old Yeni Lira/Kurus are still accepted? I've got quite a few that I forgot to take last time!
(we do know that old notes are no longer accepted)

Due to fly tomorrow morning, just hope the ash cloud doesn't upset things.

Thanks Mary, I think I read somewhere that some place had refused the coins, can't remember where or the details, so thought I'd better check.

Thanks everyone, usually only use them as tips or for the dolmus and didn't want to get caught out  . I'll try in a small supermarket first and see what they say, first call will be to get water and sin kov(?).
