Pack in or buy it @ duty free/this country - on the way out, don't think you'll be getting Golden Virginia in Icmeler

You can get it in Icmeler but it's snide, ie fake. Don't touch it with a barge pole could be mixed with anything including glass.

I would advise you not to buy tobacco from anyone selling it in the streets or from the shops as a friend of mine bought some last year from a shop in Icmeler for a friend back in England when back home she gave it to her friend & it was all tobacco dust with goodness knowswhat mixed in with it.I would advise you to get it from Dalaman airport you can get it on arrival & departure the same goes for perfume do not buy it from the market stalls as the smell only lasts for a few minutes.
Enjoy your hol.

We found it was cheaper on the flight, but maybe depends on which airline you're travelling with

At Dalaman Airport last August it was £24.50 for 250g (5x 50g packs).

Don't know if this is cheap because I don't smoke.

The full UK price for 250g is about £50 - £55 but 500g duty paid in Spain is about £30 so Dalaman is expensive for "duty free"

Like all "duty free" it's a matter of luck. Prices change and sometimes there are offers. It's best not to compare prices that other people have paid but just buy what you think is a good deal. :)

If you are going to buy cigarettes in Icmeler buy the ones with the government sticker on them. You won't get 'real' UK cigarettes in Turkey. They are made under licence in Turkey with the nearest they can get to the same tobacco. These are the nearest you'll get to the real thing.Lambert & Butler I bought last year in Hisaronu and Icmeler were made under licence in Istanbul. Steer clear of any offered from 'under the counter' or in the street or market. The legit ones should be clearly on display.
