Hi all,

We are staying in Icmerler for 2 weeks at the Palm Garden Appartments (self catering) in June.

How much spending money would you budget for 2 adults and 1 child (10 years old)?

Depends what you are wanting to do on your hols, spending money just for me I budget £50 per day and this is for lunch, drinks during the day, evening meal and a good few effes after. Usually have money left over for the next day where I get to the point I don't need to change another travellers cheque and that way I come home with some money left over after doing some mild shopping of course lol

Hope this helps

allow yourself what you can afford, no need to go mad, plenty of cheap eating places.

We went to Gumbet last august and spent £100 per day, 2 adults and one 10 year old.
Stayed half board but ate out half the time, food was good in hotel but we like a bit of variety and like getting out and about.
Went on a boat trip, to the water park and visited bodrum castle, spent money when we liked, didnt watch what we were spending at all.
I dont know if gumbet and icmeler are similar in prices though? We paid around 70 lira for a good evening meal for all 3 of us, steak meals for us and pizza/chicken for our 10 year old. Had lots of late nights and drinks - I dont drink lager so probably spent more then most here - vodka isnt cheap in turkey !

Last year my husband & I went with a 12 year old. We took £2000 for 2 weeks and that was more than enough. We ate & drank as much as we wanted. Bought things when we saw them and had many days out. Still didn't come home with any money mind you!!! Those handbags just kept calling me!!! I think as long as you can budget, you can get away with taking much less and still have a ball!

When we were there in June 09 we spent £600 for two adults for two weeks. We were self catering and usually had breakfast in the apartment, then most days and lunch and evening meal out, and a few drinks in the evening too. We work on about £40 for the day which last year was around 100ytl. We ate out in nice restaurants and my husband had 5/6 efes a night, i was on cocktails.

ETA - we also did a jeep safari and private boat trip included in that money.

 £600.00 for two weeks me and my OH went last year for one week and took £900.00 and spent it all :!: We go again 7 week on Friday for 10 days but we will only be taking about £700 - £800 due to the fact I've just been put on four day a week at work so I was getting a bit worried we would not have enough :!: We will just have to have a little less efes on a evening lol

We tend to take what we can and budget to as near it as possible and do the boat trip (2 last year) and the turkish bath is a must, come home with presents (which I keep for Christmas) so far never had a disappointing time yet, and eat out most nights with a couple drinks. But you can spend as much or as little as you want all depends on what you want to do when you are on holiday.

 £900 for one week, that's another holiday for us.
we never skrimp whilst we're out there, and like i say have two meals out a day. We perhaps have a couple of meals at the champion bar or the chinese if we want a cheapy tea but other than that it's the "posher" restaurants all the time. If we're not having the set meal at the restaurant we just have a main course, but that's because the portion sizes are pretty big so we can't fit in any more than a main course.

The husband drinks his fair share of Efes too.
