Not stayed there myself, but friends of ours are staying there in June. It's in a very good location, just off the canal and within easy walking distance of the beach, etc.

I stayed here a couple of years ago, rooms are basic but clean and i would recommend this hotel to anyone. Sunbeds get taken up quite quickly around the pool but your not too far away from the beach.

Not wishing to be negative, as we might have just been unlucky, but we stayed there last year and ended up moving to another hotel at our own cost. Main problems we had were noise from the Irish Bar next door (though I guess that was only a problem as we have a young daughter), room not being properly cleaned, and "grey" towels/sheets.

You can also see the view from our room over on another post: http://www.icmeleronline.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=30&t=9593&start=0.

However, all that said, lots of other people seem to have a great time, and Icmeler is a wonderful location.

Cheers,
Paul, Rosie & Sophie.

Going by that photo you were looking onto the back of Dreamboys > the Irish bar is on the other side of the hotel

It was actually the back of the Indian restaurant (the Masala, I think) and yes, the Irish Bar is on the other side.

However, we could still hear it from that room, and our original room (yes, we moved within the hotel first :( ) was on that side.

Hope that makes things clearer...

We stayed many times at Private until our family grew too large for the rooms. Pool is great, location is perfect, rooms are basic and food nothing special. I agree with Paul it was noisy at times but as the music stops quite early it was ok. It is so central and as a result meant that if we left anything in the room (which with young kids often did) it was a quick run back to the hotel. Saying that I haven't been there for about 5 years but I am sure you will love it.
