Seeing as nothing has been mentioned for a while about the ICR meetings, how about we have a change of venue this year and sharing the profits with another bar.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

I was thinking along the lines of Havana Bar - Zaza is a great host, and its a great laugh in there. I am sure he would appreciate the extra custom.

Someone did mention earlier that Friday wasnt such a great night, as lots of flights come and go on Fridays, so how about we make a mid-week day, possibly a Wednesday or something?

Feel free to make any suggestions and we could go with the majority.

I agree bout Mid week, as Friday is a main flight day, so is a Monday.

Zaza would get my vote as I live in there most nights

Not sure if Rami has anything planned, so he will let us know when he comes online.

Yes it is good to meet other members and friendships soon build, We are still friendly with people from the first ICR meeting we went to in June 2008 at Vinces.

Be good to meet up and put faces to names .Be good for us mid wk as we fly on a friday evening .Sadly we have to wait till september before we go again .Never been to the Havana bar so would look foward to meeting new friends.

i vote 4 zaza two great guy with great staff .

Midweek would be much better for us as we usually opt for Friday flights.
No preference regarding venue - anywhere in icmeler is great and it would probably tear us away from our usual haunt for an evening so we might get to find a new fave!
I agree Zaza is great fun so his bar would probably prove a popular venue. Just let us know the time & place and we'll be there.

I agree to the meet up at zaza's, we had a brilliant night when we called to see him last year. He entertained the kids with his tricks and we all had fun wearing the wigs. Looking foreward to going back to see him this year and taking another ride on those bikes

The meetings used to be held in the "Famous Kitchen" Restaurent were we used to have some fantastic food and entertainment.
With the Chill Bar being taken over by Hakan and Lavent (ex of famous) and re-named "Tandori Sizzler" "hope im right with the new name"
I would think this could be the perfect venue,quite a large customer area,food served to perfection if required and with Haken and Levant two of the perfect hosts.

Always the chance to alternate between different venues,Vinces,Za Zas, etc

The chill bar is right underneath the ICR offices.

Just a thought but I have read on the forum Sabri's bar has a barbeque on a wednesday night perhaps someone could confirm. I personaly have no favorite as a newbie I would just like to meet some of the nice people from this forum (well at least I think their nice lets see when a few effes kick in)

I agree that Havana is great bar and Zaza is the perfect host. Sabris's sounds interesting too, never been in there but willing to give it a go. Also mid week is better for most folk I think, gives you a couple of days to settle in

za za havanna sounds good wont be there till august normally go in april may but moved house only going once

cos were new to the forum can somone give us some info on the meet ups..how often etc and what goes on presume we all just get together put faces to names have a laugh a few efes..would be good to say hello to a few icmeler friends..we are on holiday july 26 for two weeks monday flights so where ever when ever we will be there

In a previous post Rami referred to to Chill bar as the Tandoori Sizzler, I`m also with Gene to alternate
venue meet ups, if a calender of sorts is drawn up, forum members can check venue meets before they leave home.

A board could be put up outside the relevant venue's giving the dates of the meets so that members could check where and when the next meeting was to be held. This would make it easier for anyone not able to check the website before they left the UK. It would also make it easier if there were any last minute changes to arrangements.

Exactly what we were thinking, Gene's idea is perfect.. alternate between Zaza's and Hakan's(&Levents)..

John is in the resort now so I am sure he will help relay on messages to Hakan and Zaza about meeting days and times for each venue and he will get them to have their boards up with the next meet up time and date.

We will start a sticky on the forum dedicated to give information to these meetups as soon as we know what is involved...

I am sure John will come in soon to update us on what the boys think about all this and maybe they can propose an offer for our members in return.. i.e free coffee, tea at the end of the night also some sort of entertainment at a certain time (no break dancers please, belly one will do ) would not hurt??
And/Or bingo or something that all our members would enjoy so please shoot away with your ideas so we can ask Zaza and Hakan to get with it:)
