What kind of 'Entertainment' ???

Postby tipsy » 12 Apr 2010 19:17

Hi guys, was wondering, ive heard a lot of people take about the entertainment in various places after people have finished eating, but what kind of entertainment is it.??
Have seen a few pics of the waiters dancing on the bar and on tables, is that what the entertainment is?
Sorry if it sounds like a daft question, but was just wondering :? :?
Many thanks

Yes its mainly by the staff, plus local dancers, and theme nights, but really the bar staff keep you laughing and dancing all night.

Sounds like a plan, but even when we're at home, we never like to stick to just one pub.
Seems silly to go all that way and just stick to one place, but I know what you mean, we usually click with someone, and tend to always make that our first, or last port of call, or pit stop, whatever you prefer to call it. 8)
And its always good to have a giggle on the way.

I would suggest that you take a visit to Majestic on the canal. We have been going to Icemeler for the last 10 years a couple of times a year. Most of the entertainment isdone by the waiters but you will find other acts brought into majesticas well, Dance with the Deveil is performed by Erhan and he works in Majestic and you will not see this elsewhere. While you are there try the chinese it is the best by far in icemeler. Ask for Jan he is in charge and tell him thst Carol from Garden Village told you to try them.
When do you go?

We are there in just 3 weeks time, 9 of us going all adultsfor a week of doing nothing.
Saw from your oyjrt podt that u want to treat your wife, I would suggest the turkish bath up at greenworld you can get your hotel to ring through to book and u can take the dolumus up there. dont forget to barterfor the price when you book usually pay about 20 to 25 each for a turkish bath and an all over oil massage. I personally dont think much to the pedicure/manicures at the hairdressers.i have tried quite a few and they are not as good as the UK.With regard to a nice meal I would suggest Wayside as well, food is great and service as well, cant do enough for you

There is also the Stella Show, at the Harmony bar, right on the beach, near the new jetty..... A brilliant night's entertainment for the family.... although there is quite a bit of bad language and double entendre, so be warned. Its all a bit of harmless fun, but if you are easily offended, maybe give it a miss. Michael and the boys put on an excellent night, one which we never miss.

Ha ha, thanks for that. Have seen quite a few 'stella' type shows, they're a giggle. I think its how you take it really. No, not everyones thing, but hey, you cant deny the work they put into the shows, along with all the bar/waiting on staff too.
Looking forward to seeing what icmeler has to offer.
Most nights just happy with a good meal, and good conversation, but we are partial to having one or two too many lemonades...then who knows.

The Venice lads also put on a good show. You'll find Venice on the canal as well. Great food, great entertainment - especially if you are seeing it for the first time!

many thanks for all the ideas. Is the 'canal' the main place for restaurants or are they all dotted about everywhere. Sometimes you tend to find where the main hub of restaurants are the prices seem to climb a little?
Not that I care....Im on holiday :D just wondered?? :D
