I'm pretty sure I have seen carpets for sale in Icmeler, although for the life of me I can't remember where the shop was. Hopefully someone else will be able to come up with the answer. Failing that, I'm sure one of the ICR excursions includes a visit to a carpet factory, so that might be an idea.

If you can't get one in Icmeler, if you walk along Marmaris Marina, there is a carpet shop there...or there was last year. Hope this helps

There are two carpet shops along the marina in Marmaris - go past the entrances to the bazaar and keep walking. I'm sure you'll find something you like!

We went on an ICR Jeep Safari last year (highly recomended by the way, but don't go in your Sunday best :D ) and one of the stops was a community carpet factory set up to provide employment for the local women.

Lots and lots of choice and direct shipment to the UK so no Customs or excess baggage issues.

Can't comment on prices though as not to my taste.

Good Luck

PS Don't be tempted by apparently cheaper versions of the Jeep Safari trip. We saw some very unsafe jeeps whilst on ours and at one stage our Land Rover even had to push a competitors USA Jeep out of the river where it got stuck! UK 1 USA 0
