Elif Hotel

Postby nikkic » 03 Apr 2010 08:42

Hello everyone,

only 9 weeks and 5 days until im back in icmeler (not that im counting!!)
Im staying at the Elif and im pretty sure i heard somewhere that it was closing/had closed down and had been refurbished and changed its name.

Does anyone know if this is true? or anyone got any comments on the elif as i have never stayed there before.

Thanks in advance!

Nikki :D :D

I would check with the people where you are staying exactly as the prices that were there for the Elif contract wise no longer exist.

If the booking was made for Elif and not the new named place then I would expect that your travel agent will offer you somewhere else as the new prices are at least 4 times more than they were.

Sorry the Elif is no more, it has been refurbished and renamed Boutique Casa Blanca.

There is a previous thread 'renamed hotel'

I am booked into the Elif in August. I have spoken to my travel agents and they are unaware of any changes...!

I would get back to them asap and tell them Elif has gone so they can get you a new place before everything fills up

we are also booked into the elif, but in june :? when i spoke to our accomodation provider,,they also said that they were NOT AWARE of any changes, they said[quote] but dont worry as they have to give you the same standard of hotel/room as you have paid for ,,as far as we are concerned atm you have paid for the elif from 9-23/6/10,,so we are just waiting. i have looked at the hotels new website+i would not mind staying there if they honour the booking,we will have to see..

I agree, the new hotel looks lovely. I think as a token of goodwill they should honour all bookings - it would be a good way of generating business for next year. But I doubt that will happen. My travel agent has since said that the contract with the Elif is cancelled, but it's not official yet. They will offer us alternative accommodation, but have to give priority to those travelling before us. I do understand this, but we booked last September in good faith and at the moment we don't know where we're going. Seems ridiculous that companies can screw up your holiday plans without any comebacks.

The Elif hotel had to be cancelled as the Elif and its management is no more.

Whoever you booked with will look after you
