29th May-12th June at The Grand Aquarium after much deliberation, far too many choices to make !! Been in Marmaris last couple of years first time stopping in Icmeler. (we spent that much time there this year thought it would be cheaper to stop there ! )

Hi just joined this forum today. For the past 4 years we have stayed at the same hotel in Altinkum. We came back off our holidays in June and decided to book up for somewhere different next year and chose Icmeler. We have never been before and dont know what to expect as we are used to Altinkum. We have 2 young boys and my Mum is coming and she is in a wheelchair so we are hoping its quite flat. We booked for end of May for 2 weeks staying at the Arya. Any information would be appreciated on what you think might be helpful.

hi g.r, After having your holidays in Altinkum you will have gained experiences of the Turkish holidays so will be looking forward to joining the Icmeler set.
You should have very little difficulty with a wheelchair, I have friends in wheelchairs who go every year because it is flat and easy to get around.
Welcome to the forum......enjoy.....

Hi John thanks for your reply. We like to go to Altinkum to meet up with the waiters from the hotel as we keep in touch with them all year round. And also the beaches, shopping etc is fantastic. I guess that it doesnt matter where in Turkey you go the Turks are all as friendly as what we are used to and ive been told shopping will be better in Icmeler than what it is in Altinkum. Looking forward to our visit as is our boys.

Hi

Cummo here (yes Donna John Cummins.... The very man himself) ((Remember that Moonie))

Have booked flights for 2010 and was thinking of staying at Avlu 4 in a one bedroom apt. I prefer sun in morning on balcony and shade in the afternoon.... anybody know what room numbers i need to book.

We have booked for a week from 1/7/10 to 8/7/10.

We have booked the Dursun Apts through ICR. We were planning on going to Demircioglu Apts but popularity of our holidays seems to be spreading through the family ranks and in the end we needed a 2 bedroomed apt, which in Icemeler are hard to get.

We booked flights through Direct Flights.co.uk and we got flights from Glasgow through Agean Airlines for £208.00 each with 15kg of baggage.

I have been to Icemeler many times but have never been to the Dursun Apts before, so anyone with any first hand experience I would love to hear from them.
