Down to 14 sleeps for our first visit. Staying in marmaris but will be visiting Icmeler to see how all the changes are progressing.

Sounds like we could have saved money by going through the tunnel to Blyth!
Too late now, we will just have to rough it over there.lol.
It will be interesting to see first hand how the hotels etc are adapting to the new regulations.

Lol, aye £1.60 or so and you'd be in 'paradise' in 30 minutes or so! Lmao

Heard loads of things and it would appear a lot of Restaurants etc may not open if they haven't done work to satisfy the new health/safety rules etc ... I'm sure it'll still be good and all will be okay

Correct geordie, it was Derek, & I haven't let him forget it either.
He's also saying now he's going to miss going to Icmeler in June.
I won't give in so easily if he tries it again. September can't come soon enough, then I'll be back in my favourite place...Icmeler.

Good Mansy .... He must NEVER forget how he let you both down! Lol

Bit of bad news though ..... With us both being self employed since July last year monies and decent time off has been hard ... So it's looking like our 2 weeks late June is going to be our only visit 'home' this year and instead of having a further 10 nights in September there we're going to Tenerife in January as business is quiet and also to spread our holidays ... So going forward we'll be away every 6 months or so, makes a lot more sense for us rather than 2 hols in 3 months and then nowt for 9 months

Well, that makes me feel better knowing you won't be going twice & me once !! Hope things pick up for the business. We've never been Tenerife, been to Gran Canaria & Lanzarote a few times. Normally December/ Jan time to get away from the cold weather at home !!

Business is making a living, but it's hard work and a bit scary with me losing £30k + and Car/Fuel etc when Unipart closed last July

We've been to Lanzarote twice, we went for New Year 3 years ago ... Wasn't that hot, but certainly warmer than Blyth! lol

Hopefully Tenerife will be hotter and it's a break away regardless

Don't forget to let me know late August if you want a deal on some 65th decs for Derek's 'Big' Bash in September

We'll just have a nice meal & a bit of fuss in Venice Restaurant now. Cake included, complete with 1 candle...after all we don't want to risk burning it down with 65 candles do we !!

Does anyone local know if the house band from last year is going back to the bar, just on the left hand side as you turn to the Marmaris footpath going past the Aqua and heading towards the new construction hotels?

If I had a brain , I'd remember the name of the bar, but the Efes Alzeimer's cure kicked in each night when leaving last year !

Was that the Tiki Beach bar - part of the Marti hotel? I know they had a live band on last season - no idea if they will be back again this year though. Hopefully - Icmeler could do with more of that kind of thing rather than the same old Michael Jackson, robot man and so on.
