I've known Husnu for around 10 years from my first holiday in Icmeler. since that time he has always given me a rose each time I saw him.

A true gentleman and friend, he will be greatly missed.

My thoughts and sympathy go to his family.

A tragic Loss

Postby AussieEve » 05 Sep 2008 16:17

We knew Husnu very well, have been visiting Icmeler for around 10 years now, and everytime we saw him, he was so thrilled to see us again and gave us a rose each and a big hug and kiss, he was like that with everyone, he had a way about him that was so warm and made you feel very special, we are so shocked to hear of his passing, was only talking with him in June, its really sad to think we wont see his lovely smile anymore, Im so sorry for his family and friends, will be in Icmeler again on 22nd September and will pop in the office to contribute something towards helping his family, will NEVER forget him! Like everyone else on here I am totally shocked. Have been away for a week and have just logged on to find this tragic news. Just cannot believe it. We knew him very well and he will be very sadly missed. We will be in Icmeler in 3 weeks and just cannot believe we will not see him. Will pop in to the office to give my donation. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family at this very sad time.

RIP

Carol and family xx

to our lovely friend Husnu the flower man, we've all known you for many years. you must have given away more roses to your friends than you actually sold, but that was you always showing kindness. you will be sadly missed when we visit icmeler. our thoughts are with Husnu's wife & family at this very sad time

How sad, to hear that news, we will remember all the times we bumped into him in one place or another! One year we saw him so many times he gave me a rose the night before we came home! Our thoughts are with his wife and family.

Such sad news, we send our thoughts to his family.

Nick, my hubby used to have a joke with him about buying a Cacti off him if he could ever get one because I dont like red roses. He recognised him every time and had a joke about it - such a lovelly man and such sad news.

This news has shocked us all. My husband worked in Icmeler for years and was good friends with Husnu. We saw him just a few weeks ago. He will be very sadly missed and we still can't believe he won't be there next time we come to Turkey.

RIP Husnu.

It was such a shock to both of us to hear about Husnu - especially as we heard about it from the internet. He has been a friend to myself and my husband (Ramazan/Remy) for so many years, always so happy to see me and especially this year when we returned for a visit in June - he was so excited to hear about how Remy was settling in. A true friend. I can't believe that we will never see him again.

Our thoughts are with his wife and daughter.
