Good for you ,this is great to hear. We are staying at the Grand Aquarium in 4 weeks (5th time) . One of the members of staff was always trying to make us stay up at the Club, so let us know how you find it up there plus lots of pics if you can, have a great time.

Our 2nd time at the club n prefer it to the grand. you can get a free ride up to the grand on a night but prefer the smaller atmosphere here as there is only 39 rooms and 2 pools so plenty of room.

Just met a couple of ICR forum members (Will have to ask their names again?) that are here and going home tomorrow. they have just been informed their plane has to stop off from Dalaman to Bodrum to pick up more passengers and they are going to be on the tarmac for 2 hrs. great finish to the hol...not !

Its 14.15 Icmeler time and 34 in the shade and 43 at the pool. Ive had to give up in the sun cos its roasting! janet and Daughter still basting them selves!

Well its either love boat or the sports bar tonight. all i know is i fancy a nice big steak n then a wonder down to majestics or venise bars for some micky Jackson....for a change.

Right thats it till later. I can feel a Brandy and Coke coming on whilst i bask here in the shade and listen to the crickets in the background.

What an excellent blog, like all have said, felt like I was there with you. After just reading your last section of blog about your last night and the farewells. I felt like shedding a little tear. It is so true what you have said about meeting people from all over the place, you drunkenly swear to all that you'll stay in touch etc but it never pans out that way. Everyone's lives go back to normal, work life takes over again but at the time it is what you really do believe will happen.
I hate the going home part. I swear if I win that euro lotto on Tuesday, I will be straight out there for months on end.

just thought ide leave an after word and a big thankyou to you all for enjoying the blog!

please excuse the spelling mistakes as sometimes hungover, sometimes lazy but dyslexic all the time!

We didnt do much on the last day as we were getting picked up at 8.20pm for dalaman. So it was a last lazy day around the pool in scorching weather that hit you like a furnace as soon as you left the comfort of your air conditioned room.

Got up that bit earlier to say "Ta-rra" to some scousers that we had been watching more than one sunrise with over the last 10 days n that was surprisingly sad too.

20 past eight came all too quick and the goodbye's seemed to be a rush to our scotch and irish friends that we may never see again but will remember a lifetime!

Dalaman was a surprising pleasent experience this time around with no delays or interuptions. Though 24L for a Mac D is taking the piss !!!

We arrived back at Leeds & Bradford at 04.50 this morning and its bloody freezing !!!! We left Turkey with an overnight temp of 33c and arrived in uk with a morning temp of 14c. What a diffrence.

The Taxi arrived which was £20 one way 14 miles and the first song that we heard play made my daughter burst into tears as it was her fave song in majestics and then to top it off Janet cried because Tanis was Crying. It happens every year,so i should be used to it by now ???

Well i sit here at home now at 06.20 in the morning. The TV showing the latest news and reminding me with a great fall..Im Home. No Heat shimmer over the roof tops, No Crickets with their endless noise, No Burning glow over the mountains as the sun starts to warm the day. Thats it it over, its gone except for a jumble of images,imagined smells and sounds of a remembered reality that seamed so long ago but was yesterday.

O well theres only one thing to do... Book Our next trip to Icmeler, The Club Aquarium and my paradise lost.....for now.

Jed, i`m the first to admit every year when we make our exit from the Eden Garden i shed a tear or three. It`s nothing to be ashamed of leaving such wonderful hosts and new and old friends , so i can understand the rest of your family`s emotions. Icmeler has a lot to answer for but always in the right sense. Excellent blog kept me going, just need a few more off people to guide me and the significant other half through until September 15th.when we shall be back in heaven.

Was still at 2.58 in the Local "ASDA" but between 2.55 - 2.57 in the exchange shops !

janets determined to buy a place in old town now and we are looking into that. So it looks like my next blog will be the ups and downs of buying in Icmeler.

Our 3rd year there and wouldnt go to any other hotel to be honest. Last 60 yds is ok on an evening but not during day at 47c. But if a Fat ,Bald Biker like me can make it then anyone can !
