Thats really good to hear, it should be a legal requirement though - customers who have paid good money in faith shouldn't have to deal with all this crap about claiming refunds from credit cards, ACC, etc.

All travel agents should honour payments made.
I have the greatest sympathy with all caught up in this mess. Something similar happened to us last year. And we lost our holiday to Turkey. Was slightly different though;
it was our holiday company whent t*ts up. The company hadn'd, 'Bonded as a package', our holiday, so we had no protection ATOL ABTA CAA all said no. That was the last time I will ever pay cash for a holiday. I now pay for everything by credit card.
With every pakage holiday there are three parts, flights, transfers, and accomadation. I contacted all the providers directly, they were all happy to honour the booking, but I would have to pay again, as they had not recieved the money from the travel company. I had paid three grand for our holiday and they had not passed a peny on, I was bloody ******* off. I soon found though that this is standard industry practice, and it sort of makes sense. If I were to book a
hotel in this country I would not pay for It until I left. The same applies with travel agents. They don't give your money to the providers until your holiday begins, in the case of the large opperators, they can keep small hotels waiting for your money until months after you return home!!!! So if you booked with an agent, they should provide you with an alternative, or refund, as they have still got your money.
Good luck to anyone in this mess. I ended up loosing my rag with m*****h (who were totaly blameless) when they told me I could still have the seats, but would have to pay another £1500, and told the very nice lady where she could stick her aeroplane! Went to Lazarote in the end.
