Just watched the video of Kalinka at the Venice. It was brilliant, at the end their feet hardly touched the bar it was so fast, I thought it had been speeded up!
Must go and watch them live in September as we have never been to the Venice :D

What's all this with "The Venice"?

I know pubs in England nearly all begin with "The", but clubs and restaurants etc. don't necessarily.

Rant over...

"The" Paul.

Good work Paul but is that a new place the "Wine House" as it looks like it is on the same site as the Sahara apartments

Hi admin,

It's not new, but I may have the location slightly wrong. It's on runs the length of a small side street, off the road behind the Marti. It's definitely near some apartments but I don't recall off-hand which. I'll zoom in and see if I can get it any closer, but I suspect it's accurate enough that someone could find it.

Thanks for taking the time to have a look

- Paul.

Whats your problem with calling it "The Venice" ? You have not got a problem calling the Marti hotel "The Marti"

Thanks Fanny that was great. Is that dance called Halay or something like that?
I didn't realise before how much there seems to be a Russian influence on Turkish dancing or the other way around!

I think that certain dance would be good way to lose weight, I think I might learn it :D

The fellas in the Venice seemed to be having such a good time even though they are probably exhausted!

ha ha Skilly, if I tried that [kalinka] dance, I'd be stuck on the floor
tickled me that Apo makes sure everythings tucked into his pockets before he starts, and then seems to be taking an order half way through the dance

sandy/bec - am off to try and find THAT Zookey song now - the one that always came on for Hamish and Tiger's dance with glasses on their heads

Thanks Gene - the warm memories that brings bac are VERY welcome today esp as I've just had my gas bill with the depressing news that my monthly DD will go through the roof from Dec

I may well have to dance along to that to keep warm this winter

Just had my £250 from the state to help with my heating.
So no need to dance to keep warm.
The last sentence is to keep on the entertainment thread
