Not been to Icmeler since 2004, but spoke to JT this morning and booked me and the wife in at the Efes Inn from 06/09 to 20/09.
Went to Olu Deniz last year and have to say that it's not a patch on Icmeler.

Have you been to the Efes before, we were there last May and it is great, ask for room 511, it has a large balcony and gets the sun all day, then we can have that room as we arrive the day you leave.

Hello Margo & George, no not stayed at the Efes before, on previous visits we have always said we would like to stay there, closest we got was next door at the Blue Rainbow. Our favourite hotel in Icmeler is the Idas but that may well change after our trip this summer! Have heard many good things about the Efes and given the current economic climate we have opted for half board, which we always said we would never do, given the wealth of great restaurants in the town, our two favourites being the Love Boat and Wayside. Looking forward to renewing old friendships and seeing how much the resort has changed since we were there last in 04.
As a matter of interest, does room 511 have a double bed or 2 singles, we were rather spoilt in a 4* last year in Olu Deniz with a lovely queen size bed, seems each year we set higher standards for ourselves, hope the wallet can sustain these luxuries!

Yes it is a double bed, we are also going HB in Sept, we had quite a few meals in there last May and my wife really enjoyed them, although most bars are pretty good, we also found that the prices were better than outside, mind you the dream 3 bells is very good, they also have their own part of the beach, which is a short hop from the restaurant. we were well please with everything there, also ICR have it on their book.

Margo & George, based on your recommendation I have asked John Toohey @ ICR to request room 511, failing that, a room on the 5th floor, seems these are the best rooms in the hotel. Fingers crossed! Many thanks for the heads up.

Just booked again, 12th till 19th Sept, just the little one this year, nearly didn't have that tho, me and hubby 40 this year! Me in April his was in Jan, so got lots on,but when I heard about EJ flying from Manchester couldn't resist a look, one thing led to another you know how it is guys! Usually get ripped by Tommy Cooper!

Just booked our second holiday to icmeler this year we are only home for 9 weeks and its back again on 21st Sept to 5th Oct its going to be party time as its the big 50 while im there
