The interbank rate has hit it's highest today in last 52 weeks, 2.70 to the £. (Currently 2.69)

The best rate available on the internet for currency is at Here where you get 2.57

The peak during 2008 was at the beginning of April when it then started sliding. In 2007 it was the 4th March. In 2002,2004 and 2007 it peaked around June and stayed pretty straight during the year. 2003, 2005 and 2008 it went downhill as the season continued.

I hope to buy if it gets to 2.6, I will take the gamble and purchase £500 now, if continues climbing I will buy more.

Thank god it's not dollars as the £ against the dollar is sliding fast at the moment, with the lira going the opposite way I wonder if there is a link, the stronger the $ against the £ the weaker the Lira.

The Lira shot up yesterday, Interbank rate is 2.74 and the best deal today is Marks and Spencers at 2.5956

How does Crown Currency work. I asked them for a quote once and they e-mailed back and I found it really confusing, maybe it was just me not being very bright on the day I don't now.
