We fly out tomorrow afternoon

Morning all once again !!
last couple of days now n fly home Monday night back to Sunny (I hope?) Leeds and normality.
Exchange rate today is 2.55 L at the Exchange Shops & 2.58 L in the local shops. so its back up again after a blip and a good rate again.
Well after a hot day yesterday under azure sky's n a few beers or 3 by the pool it was siesta time before going once more into Icmeler town. We always find the walk a pleasent one down through old town and to the canal or in last nights case...Sizzlers for our 3rd meal there.
Chiken Topkapi again for janet, Lamb Shank for me and a Kids meal for the daughter, 3 efes and 2 cokes. 78 L. approx £35-36. So good again. Though Service was a bit sloppy last night with a wrong order for Janet and another half an hour wait for her meal. But mistakes happen and you cant fault the service!
Then it was a pleasent stroll round the square and into some of the shops for some clothes for the daughter and Wife before heading down to the irish bar for a few more Efes and entertainment.
It was a warm one last night too with temps between 28c - 30 c and very close. The readings today at the bar/pool are 35c in shade & 46c on terrace. so it looks like its going to be another scorcher today.
Havnt seen or heard from any mossies calling all holiday so maybe they dont like Yorkshire skin? but nor has any one else at the Aquarium been bothered?
Well thats it for today and its another lazy day by the pool side with a cold efes under a hot sun over here in sunny icmeler!

We ate in the sizzler last night also, met the guys and got sorted with our discount card.
Was busy last night so service seemed a lillte slower but overall very good.
Both had the Chinese set meal and was stuffed , very nice.
Pizza for the little fella.

2 drinks each and we were 82.50

I don't know if it's the same in Turkey as it is in Greece but the service was always very slow, and I for one used to love that!
I always used to look at it as your on holiday, so no rush required and plenty of time to people watch and have a few drinkies

Afternoon all and my poor head!!!!

yet another sunrise watched this morning after a night in town and at the bar!

Thats the great thing about a small hotel with just 36 rooms. Dosnt take long to meet a great crowd and mix of personalities that you wouldnt normally meet other than on holiday.

Think i had a bit much to drink last night as ive just watched the video of me dancing in my boxer shorts to big box, little box

A breezy today with a clear and cloudless sky and a hot and sticky 126f.

Exchange rate still at 2.58 L today as weve just change the last of the money for our last night on the town.

Holiday seams to have flown since we got here and fly home tomorrow night. Might be coming back in september too.

Had a good night last night as whilst we sat at majestics who should walk by but mahmood and his cousin from the sizzler. they sat a couple of hours with us and away from their work they are a great couple of lads.

O well. thats it for today n a lazy day in and out of the pool before our last night on the town.
will give a last report tomorrow.

Good morning all and i should say for the last time i blog of the holiday too!
Well its been an excellent holiday and in a great resort too. but you dont need
me to tell you that now, do you?

Went into the town last night for the last time and felt quite sad really as we all knew it was the last time we would see our fave places. sports bar, Love Boat, Sizzlers,etc. So we walked about and had a drink in each so we could just say goodbye to all the nice people weve met along the way and laughs that weve had.

We finished our night at majestics again and they all made us feel special and very welcome as we have got to know their true turkish names it was sad time really as weve met some lovely people. Vedet been one who always gave janet a cuddle and called janet "Mamma" n wen we left made her cry by saying" bie bie mamma"

The temp last night was 30c and a very close night indeed and the walk back to the hotel just soaked me.

We had a few drinks at the bar side and said our fare wells to the few we had met and who were leaving this morning .

You dont need me to tell you what its like anyway? youve all done it and been there.
You meet people from all 4 points of the uk, you take the micky out of each other, you get drunk and swear your undying friendship with each other. you meet people who you would never have known or in that fact wanted to know. But you do meet, you do talk and all in all you have a great holiday in a great place and the people, the music, the weather and everything you see and do contribute to that one time you look foreward to...Your holiday in Icmeler!

Well we fly home tonight and back in Leeds for about 6am tomorrow. So for you that are coming out soon. Pack the sunscream, a hat and enjoy.

PS: Exchange rate still at 2.58 in supermarkets. We used ASDA near wayside resteraunt and the weather today is approaching 47c , Azure blue sky, cloudless and very very hot !!!!!!
