I've been going to icmeler for many many years. I knew the owner from dream boys when he was head waiter in the Venice bar. I've always found him to be very polite. He saved his money to get his own bar it seems he is going to be known has the bad one. They work very hard for there money they will ask you to go for a meal in there so will every one else.

Andy I took it out

Feel free to go and stand outside the Dreamboys for 14 nights and get your points across but on here you may mention their restaurant name but that is it

If you have a beef with them do it there and not here

morning jt.
i purely stated my opinion, why would i possibly want to stand outside there for 14 nights.
my icmeler holiday was great apart from one thing,it would of nice to have been perfect.
i thought this forum was for open and honest information.
which i have given people in other topics.
i spent an awful lot of money when i was in icmeler with various shops, bars and restaurants.
my september holiday has now definitely been swayed.gran canaria here we come.

Sorry Andy the point I was trying to make is please feel free to use this forum as a soap box and please do get things off your chest but to keep a topic running it should have a header like it has now.

If the owner of the said place came to our office and asked for it to be taken off as it was originally headed then we would take it off but if he came to us now I would tell him to go join the forum and reply to the complaints written on here

We have visited dream boys 0nce 2 yrs ago.
We were politely invited in by one of the front of door staff while passing the place one night so we decided to give the place a try as it was really busy and looked like fun. We had the quickest bar service we have ever had anywhere in the world, within 60 secs of ordering 5 drinks we had them on our table despite the place being full.
The guys worked hard at keeping my kids happy with balloons and a free plate of chips to share.

My daughter who was 3yrs at the time did get one hell of a fright when the dwarf guy came up to the table to say hello to us all, she cried/screamed blue murder at seeing him for the first time  and she would not settle down after this  .
So from experience they where in your face type of guys but never rude to us. We have never been in since then as its on my daughters list of dont like places   bless her wee cotton socks :D

as a newcomer to this forum but not icmeler i would just like to say we went in dreamboys for a few drinks after eating elsewhere . i had about half a dozon effes,s the better half had cocktails and a few sprites for the lad . on asking for the bill it was 35 lira !!! being an honest person i told the waiter there must be a mistake at witch point yahya came over to see what the problem was .when i explained to him they had under charged me he still tried to give me a 20 back i have no problem with dreamboys and have become friends with many of the staff over the years and i think yahya is one of the most genuine humblest person i have ever had the privelege to meet . can't wait to see them all again in two weeks although i've heard yahya and mehmet are now at friends

We have always went to Dreamboys over the years and had a great laugh with everyone there but we too noticed the overpowering hassle to get you into the bar. This was 2 seasons ago though so don't know what its like now but some of the language used towards people did put us off and wasn't needed.

have visited Dream boys for the last 8 years or so and it was always good fun however did notice a change about 2 years ago. it was one guy in particular who caused the problems and his language was offensive to people at times. Im surprised that they have not got rid of those causing the problems.

Yep thats true :( ......The best thing to do is learn basic Turkish words and play them at their own game when they insult you.
We have been swore at a few times by front of door staff at various places and it usually ends up with my hubby laughing at them for being petty+rude. In return my hubby waves 250lira at them and says DONT YOU WISH YOU HAVE OUR MONEY.... its not nice .... nor is being swore at infront of your kids...

I know the guys work hard 24/7 for six months... Yet both me and hubby work 24/7 for 11 months just to get to Icmeler for 2 or 3 weeks,.... so my sympathy for them is ZERO...We all have hard luck stories if we wanted to. I give to charity direct from my wages each month so I dont need to be worrying about under paid waiters in Turkey whenever we visit.

Tough luck as far as we care, thats the way the world spins and we dont work 50 weeks a year just to hand tips to thoose who dont. Its not being rude to our Turkish hosts Its fact.
Its my money and I dont care for hard done by waiters.

They should try doing my job for 50 wks a year.....

The topic and content are definitely not a problem

One thing that you should realise though is ANY advertising is good advertising and the more people keep chipping in on here to have a go at aplace the more people who like the place will defend and put their views across so hence good advertising

Went to Dreamboys twice in two weeks. Both time everyone was most welcoming. Entertainment was great, first drinks were great but the fishbowl tasted like it had very little alcohol in. Bit disappointed with that aspect. But i suppose they have to pay for all the entertainment somehow. Would defo go back again though.

i was only giving my opinion. from my experiences during my two week holiday bars who have less staff and less entertainment seem to have stronger drinks.
