Can I make a suggestion it might be helpful, or maybe not?. When there's only 2 of you travelling and you want a transfer from ICR £90 or £100 is quite dear for 2 so the resort hoppa @ £15 each saves a great deal. If there's 4 of you yes it equals out and its fine.

I only know this after making queries myself for my daughter and her friend who are travelling a few days different than us and fancied the ICR transfer (horrid silly o clock flight) but being student couldnt afford the extra. In the end they're sticking with tour op transfer (whole package cheaper than doing it separate).

I'm going to book a ICR transfer for when we go on 23 july but there's only 3 of us for which we'll have to pay £100 but better with travel sick teenager and landing early o'clock.

A solo passenger would also be penalised as they'd pay £90 or £100 and mainly end up sharing any transfer with at least one family one would assume.

So maybe have a look at the pricing structures for ICR transfers, or different prices for 1,2 or 3 people.

Or even sub contract for a car transfer suitcases permitting, and cars being more economical than the big minbuses, with the very very high Turkish fuel prices. That would easily accommodate 1 or 2 people.

Maybe its been thought of before, but from reading posts on here about solo travellers or only 2 travelling it could help and I dont mind waiting upto half an hour for another family if the transfer is a bit cheaper, but still faster than the coaches. I dont like the rolling feeling of coaches as they go round the corners and thats what sets my daughters travel sickness off.

Sorry if it should be have been on a new thread but it seemed very relevant. :D

Hi Bev, :)
you have made a good few points, more than I care to mention ,,, so here are a few that stand out for us.

family of 5 = ICR VALUE

travel sick prone young kids = ICR (easy to ask the driver to stop and empty the sick bag  ), try doing that on a coach.
direct transfers = no long waits on others or long drop offs.

And most of all...... If I did ever have a problem with the transfer I could speak to a real person who would care and respond straight away.... Unlike many transfer or holiday groups that dont care or respond to your complaint Real time and not fill in a form when you get home .

Good points for other transfers are

Only 2 people= sit back and enjoy the free tour to all places in Marm + Icmeler  while everyone else gets off before you.
Save ££££s while sitting on the coach and not in the bar
What do some people expect for £7.99 or £15 return.

For the five of us, we have used ICR once and we cant fault them.....
This is a request and not a fault but could we have a DVD movie for the kids as this might stop them looking out the window and getting travel sick on the bendy roads.   .

Garry some of our buses are equipped with a dvd so everyone please ask when getting on.

Bev if anyone asks for a transfer and it is one or 2 people believe it or not I let them know that there are cheaper options out there for them as we want them to come back to us in the future.

Garry

Would be intersetd to know-if there were only 1 or 2 of you rather than 5 would you still use ICR? I absolutely love the ICR transfer service and it made such a difference but sometimes as there is just two of us I cannot justify £90. To me this is two nights out in Icmeler spending money

Doz I'm the same, only 2 of us as well, I used ICR last year and that cost was £100, but couldn't afford that this year, so was looking for a cheaper transfer.

If I was to be honest then yes I/we would . Its a lot of money but If its just me and the wife then WHY NOT  .

If we had to watch the £££s then resort hopper it would be...

Just hubby and I last week, and we used ICR. Same last year when it was just daughter and I...no question about it as far as I'm concerned.

Never used ICR before but have booked for 2 of us in july after many recommendations...only one way though so it was £45.

Do we just go down the ramp to where all the coaches are and ICR will have their own 'kiosk' with the others????

As soon as you walk out the front doors at Dalaman you will see your ICR transfer driver waiting for you :)

When I used ICR, I walked down the ramp to find them.

The drivers are NOT allowed to wait at the doors any more - you now have to walk down the ramp and they're waiting for you there with the boards with your name on it.
