Thanks for that Janey. I'm amazed that they now don't charge for a bank transfer and the fact that you can get the Lira in Lloyds bank means that your money is not at risk at all. This means that I've another company to add to the list that I check. This is beginning to develop into a major project :lol:

When you do an online transfer it's just the same as making a payment to your credit card or whatever, just the click of a button so no charges. At least my bank (Nationwide) certainly doesn't.

I was watching the rate for days and days before I bought (too early as it turns out but hey-ho!) and Travel Fx outdid everyone every day, it still does. Maybe only by a bit but everything helps :-)

I still have a peek everytime I log on as Travel Fx is in my 'Favourites' bar, lol!

When you buy TC at the Travel Agents / Post Office etc, do they charge you, or do I just hand over £100 for £100 in TC's?

Theres a charge for them. Post office charge 1.5% not sure what t c***k charge though seem to remember its more than the post office

Yes I know, but I just thought it would be better with double security, and if anything happens you get them straight back as long as you write down the numbers.

Go for a caxton fx global card then and withdraw sterling in the square, no charge been using one for the last 2 years

Get one for not normal :lol: at same time in case of any problems, you can also load it in icmeler from your mobile
