Got to agree that the general entertainment is pretty dire ,best entertainment for me on a recent visit was a karaoke at the three bells had some singers on that i am sure must be pros back home they were that good .Icmeler needs at least a couple of bars with some decent cabaret acts .

cracking idea peli...... :D

but for some reason its the men she likes up there..........the ones we have seen anyway

this year was the first time we saw much entertainment, the kids loved watching it, but i did get cross when we had to pay for entertainment night, such as BBQ etc where we stayed, then the belly dancer and breakdances wanted tips, and stood there till you gave them something..

Has anyone tried the Turkish night at Kervansary, just outside of Marmaris. It costs about £20 a head, including taxi there and home, and a reasonable meal, with free wine and soft drinks all night.

The entertainment there is first class. We've done it about 4 times now, and its a really good night out. :)

I love all of the Tina Turner, Freddie Mercury etc And waiters dancing around to the typical tunes. Just reminds me of Icmeler and when I hear them at home I get goosebumps - though admittedly after 2/3 weeks they get a tad repetitive. But this year I saw the bellydancer show for the first time and was not impressed at all, saw a bellydancer at the Bamboo last year and she was fabulous none of this shaking her bits over men lying down and getting men to shove notes down her bra. Just a matter of opinion but this strikes me more as a lapdancer than a traditional bellydancer and personally think this takes more away from the family atmosphere than extending the music time or anything like that.

Wish I was going to walk down the canal tonight I would watch all the shows including Michael,Tina, Elvis and the breakdancers.
Anything is better than freezing here in Chesterfield.

I love the folk dancing and the music to go with it - certainly beats our Morris dancing ha ha
The lads seem to enjoy themselves so much and the music's amazing
the best dancing of all for me is Lee and Apo in the Venice doing their Kalinka dance - amazing!!

you've nailed it there SB - if that's the tune he used to dance to with Tiger
I REALLY need to know what that song is so I can hopefully download it from somewhere
I asked Hamish once, and bless him, he didn't have a clue - just said it was a Kurdish tune

we'll miss him sooooo much next year now that he's in England
he really made the Venice and was one of the reasons we spent soo much time in there

Hi Fanny
Becks from Liverpool sent me the tune, sure she will send to you too. I have the tune on my ipod now. Will really miss Hamish at the Venice, he is a lovely lad but I hope he is enjoying his life with his family in England.
