Best kept secret in Icmeler

I was looking at your Kokorec place the other day and all closed down now I am afraid

For those of you that want to try something new. The place in Icmeler is opposite the Arya Apartments. (With your back to the ICR camera go out of town , passed the Diva, Chef and Florida and its about 300 yds on the left. All there is to see is a banner across the trees and several chairs and tables. It did not open until 5pm in October.

I have posted a picture of one (on the pictures gallery) we used in Istanbul when we were there in March 08. Its typical of several that we came across in the city. Note the price of 2YTL, its 5YTL in Icmeler.

Congratulations, the dish is called Kurzu Kokerec (with a twiddly bit under the c) which means seasoned grilled lamb or mutton intestines. It really is mouthwatering but dont tell your friends what it really is until after they have eaten it otherwise you may find yourself all alone. The place we used none of you have yet identified but I would be interested if there is more than one place.

Oh my days...I am sooo glad I am vegan. Yuk
