We have only been to Icmeler twice, so still feel it has loads to offer, that said Hubby and myself would not pick Icmeler if it was just us, have been to much more 'Turkish' resort and loved it (very traditional) but no good for little ones. Icmeler seems to have the right mix for parents and kids, it's a real family resort not just a couples resort. Megan who is 6 and Mason soon to be 4 had life with the waiters, break dancers, etc. they can't wait to come back and at the end of the day if they are happy, so are Mummy and Daddy

my family and myself have been going to icmeler since 1997,we still love it so much that next years holiday is booked already,we havent noticed a lot off difference and certainly not noticed the so called lager louts etc or so called chavs,we continue to have fantastic holidays and meet fantastic people every time we go,our last visit was august this year for 2 weeks in which we had a great time again,we find icmeler has everything which a family needs,eg noisy pubs if you want or quiet ones, snack bars or really nice restaurants, booat trips,as many excursions you want and lovely beaches etc etc etc,my family consists of 2 teenagers and the missus, and having had the benefit of having holidays to spain, america, france, portugal etc etc no where comes close for family holidays and the friendliest people you will meet,,,,,,,,,,,,heres a question for everyone, where else is better for a family holiday for a family with teenagers and a wife who thinks shes a teenager,,,,,,you will not beat icmeler ,,,roll on 30th july next year

has lost its sparkle for me to. seemed to be "tacky" at times, same music, same acts and i hate to say but a lot of much older women (sorry dont know how else to put it) with young waiters. got fed up of same old chat up lines and young waiters thinking i was just there for . well whatever..!!! still go back because i have a place there but would seriously consider selling if i got right price

Certainly hasn't lost its sparkle for me - in fact, I'd buy a place in Icmeler today if I could afford it. My daughter also loves it to bits - she's hoping to go out and work there for several months next year.

I am going back in June next year not decided what date yet. I still love it, I think like any holiday it's what you make of it. I've been lucky enough to travel since I was a child, and have never found anywhere like it.

I can sort of agree with some people saying that Icmeler seems to have changed this year-I dont know if it was down to me spending near enough 6months there this year or what, but i'd say over the past 2years it is changing and worried it may become more like marmaris (no offence to marmaris lovers).
But after 10years this definately doesnt put me off going,as i have many many friends there.
But i can see why people may be going elsewhere next year.
xx

i actually prefer marmaris, i think its because its a bigger town and i can go places without everyone knowing what i get up to and what i do. I found this year that some restaurant owners in icmeler would actually huff if i didnt eat in their restaurant and not speak for a few days. My favourite restaurant is actually in marmaris and i can go there without any hassle or even without buying a meal
