Yep, it's the same further up the coast Sanjo - it's like the depths of winter it's so murky, cold and dark.
I really feel sorry for the holidaymakers that have started to drift down to "not so sunny" Devon.

Hi mazz and sanjo,
I have to say me and my family LOVE devon and cornwall :D :D , but wots new the weather can never be relied upon   .
Lots of people would chose to holiday more in this country if the weather was a little more kinder to us.
Mind you still not as cheap as Icmeler!!

Hi Natajack,
your right about it not being as cheap as Icmeler.
In some parts of Devon and Cornwall now they are charging £700/£800 a week just for a caravan.
I certainly wouldn't pay that for a week when I can go to sunny Icmeler. :D
Don't get me wrong there are some beautiful parts in Devon and Cornwall but like you said you just cant rely on the weather and there is nothing worse than being stuck in a caravan when its raining cats and dogs.
Had many years of this when the children were little, but have many happy memories too :)

Really cold here in Hitchin today. Hoping to have a car boot sale on Sunday to raise funds for our first couple of nights in Icmeler/Turunc but forecast not looking too good

Hi Lynnjenny

Hitchin is a smallish market town in Hertfordshire not too far from Luton and Stevenage. We try to do a car boot once a year which we call our "Effes Fund Raiser". Hate setting up when we first get there but once the money starts rolling in we quite enjoy it :)

Hi jayne

I remember there was a shop called Rebecca Jane in Letchworth Garden City, about 3 miles from Hitchin..would this be it? Think it was on the Arena Parade?
