cash safety

We always use the safety deposit boxes,a few extra quid is better than losing your cash and between my own insurance and the hotels we are covered,as for leaving money in a locked suitcase a knife will cut thru most suitcases,we bought an indestructible suitcase a number of years ago and guess what it cracked on its first journey abroad.

We always use the safety deposit boxes in our apartments, but the wife always tells me not to have any money in my pockets because the safest place is in her purse.
So on her motherly advice being a typical woman she is in charge of all the spends.
So I can buy towels, blouses, handbags, frocks and presents for the family any time I want.

As others have said, you'd need to check your insurance re what you're covered for ie how much cash (usually limited amount of £500ish) and location of safe (usually at reception)
Am sure I've seen it on here somewhere that ICR can provide safes at the going rate too - Admin will be able to confirm

As for us.....only take £s in cash, leave it in reception safe & change at supermarket each night or failing that we just pay in £s as we go

'spose it's pretty much what you're comfy with
