While away earlier this month my other half broke out in prickley heat, very irritating for her. While sitting in a resturant one of the waiters brought over some balm and asked if he could put some on her arms, no problem. about 30 minutes later the rash had gone and she had no bother the rest of the holidays.

I know this sounds simple but I never thought of it before last summer. When we were on hol I noticed a lady kept going to the pool and wetting a face cloth and wringing it out.
When I was chatting to her she said she always takes one to put on her face when she is sunbathing and as it was very hot she kindly gave me a new one that she had brought as a spare .
It was a godsend because of the very hot weather last summer, and I'll always take one each for us in future :D

For mosquito bites - I take blister plasters. they work really well, and take down the redness and reduce the swelling around it.

I dip my sarong in the pool or sea and wrap it around my body, drape it over me or lie on it - really does work well to cool you down. I also have a water spray (£1 in poundland) pop in freezer to get it really cool - great to spray your face, feet back etc. easily popped in your beach bag or handbag.
