Found a Premier Inn which about 3 miles out of town, cheaper. The ones in town are proper expensive and I'd rather save for more beer money!! LOL. Therefore, I've booked it and coming up by train on the Friday night. I'm bringing my mate Sandra who has been with me in Icmeler last 2 years. Can't wait to see you all.

IF you picked the West Derby Queens Drive one then get onto them and change it to the Aintree hotel

According to map its further out but really its a lot closer as its actually at Aintree racecourse near me and the station is opposite and 5 minutes from the town centre

No buses to take just one train straight into town

I've stayed at the Aintree one before and I remember it being only a short cab ride away. I'll get the train to Lime Street first anyway so I assume I can get another train to Aintree can I?......... and I can change it no problem, I have an account with Premier Inn so it won't be a prob at all. Thanks JT. I can't wait.

The train you get in to Lime Street will be the main line and then you need to go to the underground

Don't do this in the station as it is more fun to walk across the road to Central station to take your short journey to Aintree and of course you have to pass quite a few bars to do this

Don't worry about your luggage as there will be lots of parties walking through town with luggage getting ready for the weekend ahead

If you get on at Central station get the train going to Ormskirk this stops at Aintree

Thanks chaps. Yeah its always mega busy at Lime Street. Great advice JT about there being plenty of bars on the way through, we'll be half cut before we even check in. LOL.

I've bumped into a few people in the Bridewell already (I am not there all the time btw only when in town shopping but I seem to shop a lot)who have actually not put their names down (lurkers) but have told me they are looking forward to coming to the meet

A few other people out and about have also mentioned it so hopefully it will be a very good night

Looking forward to it. Bringing my friend Sandra who came with me just past July when we stayed at Rhodes Apartments. Booked into the Aintree Premier Lodge as it was a bit cheaper. Coming up the Friday and staying till Sunday! Yay!

Another 6 people just booked the Premier at Aintree for Friday, Saturday and Sunday (Sunday afternoon in Liverpool is a good day with Live acts)

I've booked for Friday and Saturday nights but I can't stay the Sunday as well and will need to get the train back during the day on Sunday. I'm still excited about coming up next year and can't wait to see you and everyone.

Well work the trains out as everyone will no doubt be going to Liverpool centre for the music on Sunday afternoon so you can catch a late train

Our latest member to put his name to it is Rami who will be flying in from Istanbul for the meet up

I thought Edinburgh or Belfast would be the furthest guests but wrong

Just booked my hotel in Liverpool central hotel Travelodge for 22nd Feb, wouldn't miss it for the world can't wait for a catch up and a few drinks xx

That is fantastic that Rami will make it too. Sounds as though its going to be a brilliant night. Once I've worked out the trains from my end, I'll put them on here so anyone coming from the same area can see.

If you can work out your train times so that you arrive around the same time as the Scottish gang, you can all meet up in the bar in the station then go on from there

I'm booking the Friday off work and I won't need to work the Sunday but will need to be working Monday hence going back on the Sunday afternoon. Takes some time to get up there from my end down here in Surrey but should be able to make a good time of it and as long as I am there for the Saturday shananigans, I really don't mind.
