If you follow the main road from the square towards the Old Village you can't go wrong. As you walk away from the square near the fountains, you'll pass the Set Steakhouse, Romance and Hanedan all on your right. Then you'll pass Nefis Pide and the Robin hood on your left. Carry straight on and you'll see the Wembley Bar on a junction, Sidik's is next door.

Also have a look on the map on the link but ignore the 3 Bells as it's marked in the wrong place

I'm sure I got a promise of a review of the Ekinci a month or so ago :mrgreen:

This thread has been very useful for us as well. I can't remember the name of it, but there is a (supposedly) very good fish n chip shop not too far from the Ekinci as well. I'm sure someone else will provide more details (that I might actually save this time lol).

Bar One has now been added to our list. For months and months I'd been adding to my list ready for our holiday this year, only to forget to take it with us :x I managed to find Sidik's and Tommy's in the old village (but took the long way round) and Eddie's in the centre.

For excellent food, very fair prices and lovely genuine people it has to be Sidiks. We tried Love Star recently but would never ever go in there again, the service was appalling.

Sidiks is lovely first time there this year and really liked it everything is fresh and cooked from scratch from the centre head straight to the old village past romance palace up to the crossroads were the supermarket is on one corner and wembley bar is on the other corner go straight across and sidiks is on the right hand side .....you wont be dissapointed :D

So hard to choose top of our list with with da da .

20 out of 10 is Sidicks family restaurant..
10 out 10 Romance for the Steak in Vodka sauce
9 out of 10 Venice 20 out 0f 10 for Lees body
9 out of 10 New Bamboo

other places we ate Contes really really good, tin tin also very good i had the Chicken plate , 3 bells with 4 bells good Sunday lunch not as good as previuos years, but still good,all in all not a bad meal in the resort,it is so hard to choose as eveeryone works so hard to make your holiday perfect. The only downside was the so called barmen shows, really are getting tired of them as they seem tobe getting more and more silly, miss the original Turkish waiters dancing
but there is still very many good quite restaurants. Did not eat in Buffalo bar but went for a drink and a bit of a sing song, was ok but at 4 ytl a bottle the Efes was warm and not very nice, so would rather pay a little bit more for good dr

inks Will mention the Private bar, as there drinks were top of the resort, byt one get one free, cocktails and spirits and the Vodka and tonics were mixed to perfection

Think most places have been covered but I love;

Lovestar
Sidik's Family Restaurant
Rhodes Apartments restaurant

If you venture into town;

Bonjour
Kontes
ZaZa's (Blue Rainbow Hotel)

Am going to try a few more in September if I can fit them in :D

Amazing people, amazing place. I do not think that I will ever tire of going there. Can you imagine going into your local 'decent' restaurant and saying 'oops I've got no money'. They'd probably call the police!!

The restaurant that is part of the ekinci itself was a great meal when we stayed there 2 years ago.Can't remember what it's called though.
The BBQ night was well worth the money too,good food and entertainment and then stumble up to the room after.

Just returned from three weeks in Icmeler, and I have to say Sidik's is by far the best restaurant in Icmeler. All food is cooked from fresh, and Sidik's steaks are of a high standard. I asked him this time how his steaks were so good, and he replied by saying that he pays a little bit more than the average for them. The restaurant is run by Sidik and his family. These are lovely people who always have time for you. Nothing is any bother to them. We celebrated our Pearl Wedding there on our last night night and we had a beautiful meal followed by a fantastic cake. It is well worth making the effort to go up to the Old Village to visit this restaurant.
